About prideinplace.uk

prideinplace.uk is an independent resource published by Cool Unlimited, a software company in Tamworth. It is not operated by MHCLG, another government department, a council or a Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board.

It began as a practical guide for Pride in Place boards thinking about websites. It is now maintained primarily as a public directory and resource: a place to find the 284 programme areas, checked local links, maps and website guidance without having to know which organisation publishes each piece of information.

Cool Unlimited also builds websites, including for public-sector and community organisations. That commercial interest is disclosed, but it does not affect which local sites we list: there is no listing fee and links are included on the same basis regardless of supplier. The guide is free to use and share whichever supplier a board chooses.

If a Pride in Place board finds the directory or guide useful and wants help with its own website, we are happy to talk. There is no obligation, and any work should go through the board’s accountable body and normal procurement process.
